Screen Page 1 - Data Entry Page (DEP)

It is use on Polaris Office of the phone.
The keypad is standard keypad of Samsung.
Should be a customised number pad for Data Entry as illustrated in the picture below.

On the left picture is Data Entry Page (DEP).
It comprises of Spreadsheet and Number Pad Section.Spreadsheet Section is a layout of with all the Columns as in the Spreadsheet Roulette2202Fri#1.xlsx.
Number Keypad Section is a Number Pad (NOT the Standard Samsung Keypad with alphabets).
The Number Pad is fixed at the Lower Section as the "spreadsheet" scrolls up when more rows of data are entered.
Top of Page, is the Bar menu with 4 buttons, for navigation to the 3 Trendlines Graph plotted and "Save" button.
When "Save", a dialogue box should be available for target Folder selection.
"Save" function should be available for Data and Trendlines Graph.
When Apps is Open, there should be choice to Retrive data or New for new entry.

Spreadsheet Section:
Column A is for Data Entry. It allows up to 300 - 500 lines of entries.
Numbers are of Roulette game which range from 0-36.
Column A is "Freeze" on the left side of screen.
Top Row of Column description should "stay" as the spreadsheet is touch and move by the 4-directional movements. (Like the same of Spreasheet)
Upon enter of a number, hit "return", the cursor should go to the next line for another entry.
As the Row of data entry increase, the spreadsheet should scroll up automatically.

In the Spreadsheet Section, it comprises of 3 Section lengthwise:
- Red/Black Section,
-Even/Odd Section
-Big/Small Section
The Apps should only display these 3 sections.
Formulas working on the right should not be displayed.

Each Section has 9 Columns - Red, Black, 1xSwitch, 2xSwitch, 3xSwitch, BBL, FTL, All Red, All Black.
The Column is abbreviated with 3 alphabets so the Column Fit shall be tight and neat.
(For Even/Odd Section- it is All Even & All Odd)
(For Big/Small Section - it is All Big/ All Small).
Sections and Columns should have colour theme for easy viewing.
When a number is enter in Column A, all the values in all columns are updated by the formula that were already embedded in Roulette2202Fri#1 spreadsheet.

Formula in Spreadsheet that requires corrections as below:
There are error in formula for the 3 Sections of "All" (Abk,Ard,Aev,Aod,Abg,Asl).
There are error in Section Even/Odd, Column 1xS.
There are error in Section Big/Small, Column 1xS

Trendlines Graph:

To view Trendlines Graph, tap menu button on the top of DEP to navigate.These graphs should be plotted from the values generated in the various columns update after the numbers are entered in Column A.
The graph should "grow" and "moves", slides into the left side as more and more data are entered.
There are 3 buttons for the respective Trendlines Graph at the top of DEP.
Graph should be dark background to highlight trendlines clearly.
Trendlines should be smoothed and not jagged.
Both DEP and Trendlines Graph screen should be "Screen Rotation" active that can be viewed vertically or horizontally.

Attach files of spreadsheets are for reference only.

There is an error in the Column for the "All".

Surveys are a method of gathering information from individuals. Surveys have a variety of purposes, and can be conducted in many ways. Surveys may be conducted to gather information through a printed questionnaire, over the telephone, by mail, in person, by diskette, or on the web.

This information is collected through use of standardized procedures so that every participant is asked the same questions in the same way. It involves asking people for information in some structured format. Depending on what is being analyzed, the participants being surveyed may be representing themselves, their employer, or some organization to which they belong.

Types of Surveys

Data are usually collected through the use of questionnaires, although sometimes researchers directly interview subjects. Surveys can use qualitative (e.g. ask open-ended questions) or quantitative (e.g. use forced-choice questions) measures. There are two basic types of surveys: cross-sectional surveys and longitudinal surveys. Much of the following information was taken from an excellent book on the subject, called Survey Research Methods, by Earl R. Babbie.

Cross-Sectional Surveys

Cross-sectional surveys are used to gather information on a population at a single point in time. An example of a cross sectional survey would be a questionaire that collects data on how parents feel about Internet filtering, as of March of 1999. A different cross-sectional survey questionnaire might try to determine the relationship between two factors, like religiousness of parents and views on Internet filtering.

Longitudinal Surveys

Longitudinal surveys gather data over a period of time. The researcher may then analyze changes in the population and attempt to describe and/or explain them. The three main types of longitudinal surveys are trend studies, cohort studies, and panel studies.

Trend Studies

Trend studies focus on a particular population, which is sampled and scrutinized repeatedly. While samples are of the same population, they are typically not composed of the same people. Trend studies, since they may be conducted over a long period of time, do not have to be conducted by just one researcher or research project. A researcher may combine data from several studies of the same population in order to show a trend. An example of a trend study would be a yearly survey of librarians asking about the percentage of reference questions answered using the Internet.

Cohort Studies

Cohort studies also focus on a particular population, sampled and studied more than once. But cohort studies have a different focus. For example, a sample of 1999 graduates of GSLIS at the University of Texas could be questioned regarding their attitudes toward paraprofessionals in libraries. Five years later, the researcher could question another sample of 1999 graduates, and study any changes in attitude. A cohort study would sample the same class, every time. If the researcher studied the class of 2004 five years later, it would be a trend study, not a cohort study.

Panel Studies

Panel studies allow the researcher to find out why changes in the population are occurring, since they use the same sample of people every time. That sample is called a panel. A researcher could, for example, select a sample of UT graduate students, and ask them questions on their library usage. Every year thereafter, the researcher would contact the same people, and ask them similar questions, and ask them the reasons for any changes in their habits. Panel studies, while they can yield extremely specific and useful explanations, can be difficult to conduct. They tend to be expensive, they take a lot of time, and they suffer from high attrition rates. Attrition is what occurs when people drop out of the study.

Data entry is the act of transcribing some form of information into another medium, usually through input into a computer program. Forms of data that people might transcribe include handwritten documents, information off spreadsheets, and sequences of numbers, as well as computer code and even names and addresses. Some careers are exclusively involved in data entry, while certain workers, like programmers, might have to occasionally enter data while performing other tasks. Anyone interested in this career should be cautious, however, as there are many online "opportunities" that are actually scams and not legitimate jobs.
Job Description and Necessary Skills

Good typists, especially those who are also excellent at 10-key typing, are often qualified for data entry positions. 10-key typing uses the 0-9 keys often found on the right side of a computer keyboard, also called the number keypad. Most companies that hire people for this work have requirements for Keystrokes Per Minute (KPM), with a high degree of accuracy. These numbers can vary from one business to another, but are based on individual keys rather than words.

Some companies use audio input, which a person listens to while entering data into a computer or similar system. The typist needs to be able to follow along as the recording goes, so that pauses are kept to a minimum. Accuracy is vital in applications like programming, since the wrong letter, number, or symbol can throw off an entire command function within computer code. For spreadsheets and published or printed documents, typos can result in misinformation or embarrassing errors.

Qualifications

A degree or particular type of education is not usually required for this field. People can gain fast and accurate typing skills through classes or other methods, such as extensive practice. Certain specialized fields may require training in particular software programs or knowledge of subjects like medicine and anatomy. These opportunities usually pay better than general entry positions, but may require certification, education, or previous experience.

Telecommuting Opportunities

With a number of computer systems requiring new information on an almost constant basis, data entry does not necessarily have to take place in an office. Many people work out of their homes entering data, transcribing medical information, or updating websites. Some of these opportunities can be found online, though many companies require that applicants come into a location for testing and training. Once this is complete, the typist might work onsite at that location, or may be eligible to work from his or her home.

Scam Offers

Anyone who wishes to enter the data entry field should be careful to avoid “scam” offers, which promise work in exchange for a fee. The majority of legitimate sites do not require a fee be paid, since the entire purpose of such a job is for someone to enter information in exchange for payment. Many of these sites prey on people who want to work from home and often seem too good to be true. Extreme caution should be used by anyone approaching a company selling a book or other service to "help" him or her find data entry jobs, as many such offers are scams.

Future Changes and Automation

In some cases, computers can perform data entry by scanning documents and converting information for different programs. This method and others may ultimately eliminate some jobs. For example, sufficiently accurate voice recognition software might reduce the need for medical transcriptionists. Anyone working in this field should look for ways to gain additional skills, such as knowledge of computer programming languages, to become more attractive as job opportunities become limited.

Physical Toll
Data entry requires focus and concentration, which can be mentally exhausting and physically challenging. It is important for people sitting and typing all day to pay attention to maintaining good posture, type in an ergonomically sound position, and take breaks for their eyes and hands. Most experts in workplace ergonomics suggest that people sitting at a computer for extended periods of time should take a break at least once an hour and move away from their computer screens. Hand and body-stretching exercises can help prevent health problems like carpal tunnel syndrome.

This job consists of moving contact information from a variety of lists in word documents to a single excel form. We have roughly 380 lists of contacts, each list could have anywhere from 5-30 contacts. Contact information in the list is not in a consistent format, some entries contain a lot information and some just names of people or companies. We need all this compiled into a single excel sheet so we can upload it into a new database program. Attached is a sample list and a sample excel file. The contacts are currently organized by the title of the lists and the same contact can be in several different lists. Our objective is to have a single entry per contact in the excel list.

The excel file is broken into two sections: Word Doc Title and Contact Information. The Word Doc Title section only contains information in the title of the word doc and the Contact Information section only contains information from the contact info inside the word doc. The titles of the lists vary and include up to three different pieces of information: the type of real estate, the type of capital, and the geography. Since contacts can be in multiple lists there can be multiple entries for real estate type, capital type, and geography under the same contact. For example an entry could have several columns such as Real Estate Type 1, Real Estate Type 2, Real Estate Type 3, etc. Each column only has one entry.

Here's a list of Real Estate Types:
Apartment (multifamily is apartment), Retail, Office, Industrial, Hotel (hospitality is hotel), Land Development, Land, Amusement Park, Gas Station, Golf, Hospital, Health Care, Medical Office, Building, NNN, Condominium (or Condo), Owner User, Parking, Pre-development, Pre-entitlement, Resort, Senior Care, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Self Storage, SFR, Student Housing, Workforce housing, Church, Core, Core Plus, Value Add, Infrastructure, Note Purchase

Here's a list of Capital Types:

Geography is obvious.

So a word doc with the title "Land Opportunity Mezz" would mean that every contact in the file would have an entry for "Land" in the Real Estate Type Column, "Opportunity" in the Capital Type 1 column, and "Mezzanine" in the Capital Type 2 column. There's no limit to the number of columns for each contact as long as every contact name is only listed once. The only time that a contact would be listed more than once is if the name is listed under more than one company. In that situation duplicate the entry with the same info except a different company name. Please put any duplicate entries in bold.

Since not all contact info is complete just input the available information and leave anything missing blank. So if the email and phone are listed but no address, just leave the address cell empty. If a cell phone or mobile phone number is listed put in the mobile phone column, if not just put the phone numbers in the phone columns.

Ignore word docs that don't have any of the Real Estate Types or Capital Types listed above in the title.
